I even recently did some edits of files from a Canon 5D MKIV with no issues and have edited files from the Sony over the last year without issue. I'm currently using a MacBook Pro(specs below) for editing and have never run into this issues with any of my other edits.
When I watch the files directly, all the audio is synced correctly, but once I import, the audio is off by maybe a second. All the files are shot in the same format with the same frame rate. I have video files for a dance recital I shot using a Sony PXW-X70. Divergent Media has another application called EditReady. The same functionality has been added to EditReady, a 50 transcoding application with support for LUTs, metadata viewing and editing, and batch processing.
